When the client initially contacted us, they emphasized their need for an ultra low-maintenance yard with flexible entertaining space and green space for their new puppy. We were able to incorporate a local pea gravel that happens to be barefoot friendly with lueder stone pavers as an entry into the yard. In order to keep the area dry, we installed a surface drain, which efficiently funnels water underground for an ‘out of sight, out of mind’ solution. For a puppy friendly area beneath the trees, we installed artificial turf which leads you to the rear entertaining area. This custom lueder patio offers a flexible space where our clients can set a dining table or lounge furniture opposite the garage wall, which will have a mounted TV. The grill sits flat on a secondary pad of lueder stone and the A/C unit is screened with a gated and stained cedar fence. Low maintenance plantings provide some additional ambience, and the shade sail-string light combo cement this as a fantastic gathering space day or night.
